The Padi Open Water course is your next step on form the Discover Scuba diver course. This is our standard course that consists of 5 confined pool sessions and two days and 4 dives at the loch.
This course costs £475, when you buy you are paying a £100 deposit.

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:
- Knowledge Development ( online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
- Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
- Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!
You may be able to get college credit for the Open Water Diver course.
In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank. The equipment you wear is included in the cost of the course and suited to cold water diving.
You can start your learning now with PADI’s home-study materials once you buy the course on here with a deposit of £100. Once we receive your deposit we will contact you to get you set up on e-learning and a date when you can start your confined water course.
Why not do your Padi Drysuit speciality at the same time and save a some money and also get an extra two dives.
Can I do it Quicker?
Yes we offer our Fastrack courses like on holiday for just a little more. Once you sign up you study online and once finished we do your confined water training over 2 days and then 2 days at the loch doing open water dives. Four days and you can be a diver.
